What You Can Expect from Chemvet’s Repair and Maintenance Service
Replacing roofs due to rust or natural damage

Extreme temperature changes, excessive moisture, and seasonal storms can take their toll on steel roofing causing the metal to get corroded over time. Regular roof maintenance assists in improving the lifespan of the steel structure, which at times may include replacing rusted and corroded panels, and in some instances the entire roof. In addition to replacing roofs or panels, we also sand down the roof trusses and columns of the structural components where corrosion might have caused damage which further ensures longevity.

Replacing insulation in poultry and pig houses

Poultry and pigs develop at different stages requiring housing that provides excellent insulation by maintaining a comfortable temperature. A change in temperature means that the existing insulation may be outdated or has deteriorated and needs to be replaced.

Replacing roof insulation on barns and storerooms/warehouses with Alububble®,  Policool 35mm, Supercool 50mm , 60mm , 70mm , 100mm and ISO Board 30mm

Chemvet offers Alububble® insulation for barns, storerooms, and warehouses allowing us to assist our customers in keeping their feed and implements protected from heat and other external factors. The numerous benefits of replacing existing insulation with Alububble® include:

  • It is completely non-toxic and non-carcinogenic.
  • It has no fibre content and is thus fire retardant.
  • It does not require any special breathing equipment before, during, or after installation.
  • It reduces dust penetrating the roof area.
  • It acts as an effective barrier against condensation that may seep through the roof panels.
  • It does not attract rodents.
  • It reduces the temperature within the roof area serving as a heat barrier protecting other surfaces.
Repairing damaged panels in poultry houses

Where panels in poultry houses are damaged due to litter beetles, Chemvet repairs the damaged sections and re-insulates the affected areas. Normal wear and tear, damage and accidents happen when they are least expected and we will gladly replace any damaged roofing panels keeping your livestock, poultry, and implements safe from the elements.

Painting trusses and columns

Exposed, untreated steel is not immune to corrosion. We apply an appropriate rust-resistant steel paint finishing on trusses and columns as it is an effective way of protecting structural steelwork from rusting, improving long-term durability and performance.

Supplying new doors or replacing old doors

Allow us to replace your existing doors or perfectly align new steel doors on structures. Steel doors deliver the best long-term value and resilience, providing increased security and safety when it’s needed. Steel is designed to offer fire resistance and additional security and, if correctly maintained, is resistant to rust, cracking, and bowing and will outlast its comparative counterparts.

Please note that Chemvet does not wash roofs or remove grass from gutters but we do replace corrugated iron roof sheets and effect repairs where necessary. Additionally, we repair or replace major damage to steel structures.
